Sailing

My boat is named Rosa Rugosa for the wild roses that grow along the coast. She is a 21' Precision sloop. I try to go sailing three to four times a week from May through September. Here I'm sailing between Vail and Long Islands in Casco Bay.

I took a couple of friends out recently to sail in Casco Bay. Here are some of the shots Ben took with his digital camera.

My friend Hans built a boat to sail around the world in. He named her AG after the Angel Gabriel that brought his ancestors to Pemaquid, Maine in the 1600s.

AG is a 26' twin keel cutter designed in Maine by Letcher.

Each year I try to cruise for at least a week. In 1997 I went to Moosehead Lake for a week. The year before a friend and I sailed the Down East and Moosehead Lake.
